FG Creative Kicks Off “Six Weeks of Giving” Campaign

FG Creative is heading into the holiday season with giving in mind. We’ve recently launched a “Six Weeks of Giving” Facebook campaign encouraging our followers to donate to three Coachella Valley organizations with whom we work closely year-round. Each of the three non- profits, Dr. Carreón Foundation, Family YMCA of the Desert, and Desert Cancer Foundation, will be featured for two weeks on a Facebook fundraiser. To participate in each fundraiser, donors can visit our Facebook page, facebook.com/FGCmarketing, and click on “fundraisers.”

We are continually inspired by the work they do to help further the education of Coachella Valley children. The mission of the Dr. Carreón Foundation is to support initiatives that will lead to enhanced educational opportunities for the youth of Mexican/Latino heritage in the Coachella Valley as they prepare to become leaders of the future. The total investment by the Dr. Carreón Foundation in direct student financial support is nearly $1.5 million. Over 475 students from the Coachella Valley have benefitted from these scholarships, and it is proud that 85% of its scholars graduate college. The foundation has also awarded more than $300,000 in grants to local organizations. For more information, visit carreonfoundation.org.

We have worked with the YCMA for six years on various projects and we are now working on a major branding campaign for 2017-2018. Many of our staff members are even former Y kids. Family YMCA of the Desert is one chapter of the national YMCA, a leading nonprofit organization, strengthening valley communities through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Serving the entire Coachella Valley for 35 years, there are 41 locations in the desert cities, serving 3,800 youth daily. With dedication and consistent leadership, the Y programs promote character with strength of mind, body, emotions, and value systems. The supervised programs and organized activities are curriculum-based, serving age groups of 2 years to 18 years with the mission of building character, offering good citizen modeling, and contributing to the development of future leaders. For more information on the Family YMCA of the Desert visit ymcaofthedesert.org.

Fundraising Event Header DesertCancerThe campaign will finish with a two-week fundraiser for Desert Cancer Foundation. Desert Cancer Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting residents in the Coachella Valley and surrounding communities who need financial assistance in obtaining screening, diagnosis and treatment for cancer and allied diseases. We have worked closely with Desert Cancer Foundation for two years, helping them to rebrand their image and bring all of their events to the next level. Learn more at desertcancerfoundation.org.

We would love to have you join us in our campaign of giving by contributing to one (or ALL!) of these wonderful causes. Working with these, and other non-profit, local organizations over the past 15 years has given us the opportunity to be involved in our community and give back where it is needed most, and for that, we are grateful.
